Butterflies and Fairies Birthday Party From Adrian Ardiente Photography

Flowers inside Bell Jars

Dainty and charming are the words that come to mind when I think about little Lily’s 1st birthday party.  The party’s theme revolved around butterflies, fairies, lace and flowers. Greens, ferns and wood were also used to give the party a shabby chic feel.  The centerpieces and dessert table were exquisitely done by K by Cunanan.  Don’t you just love the flowers inside the little bell jars? So pretty! Other party details to love are the burlap favor bags and the birthday cake which is really not the usual kind you see in kids’ parties.  The cake looked really chic with all those tiny pink and mint butterflies all over.

All the lovely party details and the priceless moments from this charming day were beautifully captured by Adrian Ardiente Photography. Enjoy!

Aqua, Mint and Gold Shabby Chic Themed Christening

It is no secret that I love the color mint. It just seems to go well with everything like for instance, this pretty color palette of mint and peach that I made a few months back.  Today’s featured  party, styled by Mona McIntyre of Lush Parties, also used the color mint and combined it with aqua and gold.  Such a nice color combination!  This celebration is a very special one as parents of little Gavin welcomed him to the Christian world.

The stage backdrop shows a wooden lettering of Gavin’s name set against wood planks decorated with mint and aqua blue paper medallions.  Other noteworthy party details are the gold bird cages hanging above the treats and favor tables, the table centerpiece with the tiny, white picket fence surrounding a bunch of lovely flowers, and the ruffled ombre cakes.  Very shabby chic indeed!

Anika’s Lalaloopsy Themed Birthday Party

Are you ready to see a party that is SEW cute and SEW pretty? Well, today you’re about to, as I share with you Anika’s cute as a button Lalaloopsy birthday party!

Although it’s a Lalaloopsy themed party, the styling and party details revolved mostly on sewing elements such as yarns and buttons rather than the Lalaloopsy dolls. I think this is a great idea by the celebrant’s mommy, Claire, as it made the party look very chic and pretty.  Another great party detail is the DIY ceiling decor made from pastel-colored styro plates made to look like buttons.  How clever is that?

Here’s a bit about the party from mommy Claire:

I started planning my daughter’s 1st birthday party 5 months in advance. For this party, we’ve decided to emphasize more on Lalaloopsy sewing elements which are buttons, yarns and spools.  I am very happy and proud to have Gideon Hermosa of The Events Studio as stylist because he really did an awesome job. Most of the party details used were hand made by me and the stylist, Gideon Hermosa.
